The South Whidbey Reign are still in the running to move on in the U-17 soccer playoffs after splitting matches with TUSK FC and Seattle United FC this weekend.
On Saturday in Tukwila, the Whidbey boys fell 2-0 to TUSK, a team from Tukwila and Skyway. Previously, Whidbey held TUSK scoreless in an earlier round of the playoffs at the Langley Sports Complex.
Losing put the Reign at risk of being eliminated from the playoffs, putting them one loss away from the end of their season.
But, Whidbey found its winning ways against Seattle United FC in Langley on Sunday. The Reign roared to a 5-1 victory to move on to a semifinal match against Edmonds FC in Tukwila on Saturday.
