South Whidbey’s youth soccer players excelled this summer.
South Whidbey FC Wild, comprised of 15 players from South Whidbey High School and one player from Coupeville , won the Boys 19 Silver Division championship on Aug. 20 at the 2015 Redapt Cup at the Crossfire Premier Soccer Fields in Redmond.
The team included Lochlan Roberts, Lucas Fulton Bevers, Jordan Henriot, Quinn Hassrick, Lucas Leiberman, Ari Rohan, Max Cassee, Juan Diego Marmolejo, Justin Gonzales, Tristan Cortes, Aengus Dubendorf, Abraham Leyva, Tucker Middlebrook, Jason Li, John Gibson, and Lake Smith.
The team was led by coach Ben Rusch.
